Tuoyuan is a sophomore at the University of Chicago and double majors in Statistics and Economics. He grew up in Hong Kong, where he graduated from Sha Tin College and was named a Hong Kong Government Scholar.
Prior to joining Tiro, Tuoyuan spent his previous summer doing strategy-based work for the Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank (SCSB) in Taiwan. He worked on SCSB’s acquisition of a microfinance institution in Cambodia and also helped to develop the bank’s projects in fintech.
In his free time, Tuoyuan loves to stay active. He has trained with the Hong Kong Triathlon Association and recently competed in the Chicago Half Marathon. This summer, his goal is to explore a new hiking trail every weekend and hopefully catch some Pokémon along the way.
